Stretched Out Properly
I have been golfing since I was 10 years old. I got to play lots with my Dad and Mom and enjoyed the Junior Golf Program at the Kamloops Golf and Country Club and got some great instruction over the years from the pros at the course.
I was always able to hit the ball fairly long and people wondered how I could do it until they saw my swing. Most people, to this day, think their backs would break if they swung that hard at the ball.
It was easy to swing that hard because my back muscles were flexible. Despite what various chiropractors said, I found golf to be good for my sore lower back and golf kept it somewhat flexible through all the twisting and stretching. I would have issues after the game sometimes but the worst part was the first few swings and the first few holes of every round until I warmed up. Why was that?
As any golfer knows, if you aren’t warmed up (read as: stretched out properly) those first few swings and holes can be somewhat uncomfortable for both your swing “feel” and scorecard.
Whole Body Vibration Machine
I got a whole body vibration machine in mid-2009 and while I had stopped playing with the frequency I had in the previous 5 years my game did not really suffer. I was using my wbv machine regularly and it kept me very flexible. The different ways I exercised by both standing and sitting on the machine kept my muscles constantly stretching and contracting and, therefore, very flexible.
Now, I am able to go out and take a few Kwik practice swings and then swing as hard as I want on my first drive. I don’t have to worry about needing the first few holes to warm up anymore. With a 2 month old and a 2 year old I don’t get out as much as I want (read as: hardly ever) but I don’t have a problem getting on that first tee and cracking one (and I still DO find the occasional hazard…)
Golf is a great way to exercise your body. However, as recent research has found, this is not the only type of exercise that your body needs. By using a Kwikfit4u Whole Body Vibration machine for 10 minutes a day, 3 – 4 times a week you can rest assured your body will be getting and staying in top shape.
